Antibody Detection

About the Test

  • HLA antibodies have been implicated in causing harmful effect on the Transplanted organ in form of acute or chronic rejection.
  • If presence of these is known pre transplant or their formation is identified post-transplant, the transplanted organ can be protected against their harmful effects.
  • The identifications pre transplant can help allocate an organ from a donor with whom risk of rejection will be lowest.

Turn Around Time
Routine: 5 Working days
Emergency: 6 to 8 hours

PRA I&II

This is a comprehensive classic complement dependent cytotoxicity Crossmatch (CDCXM).
It comprises of the following:

LSI&II

This test will screen the patient’s serum for presence or absence of HLA Antibodies It will not identify the specificities Can be also used to monitor appearance of antibodies post organ transplant for immune surveillance.

SABI

This test will identify HLA antibodies with their specificities to Class I- HLA antibodies.

  • This test will further help to identify donor specific antibodies, if against class I which can harm the transplant organ

  • Can be used to monitor the class I HLA antibodies in serum post organ transplant to modulate immunosuppression and diagnose rejections

SABII

This test will identify HLA antibodies with their specificities to Class II- HLA antibodies.

  • This test will further help to identify donor specific antibodies, if against class II which can harm the transplant organ

  • Can be used to monitor the class II HLA antibodies in serum post organ transplant to modulate immunosuppression and diagnose rejections

SAB I&II

This test will identify HLA antibodies with their specificities to Class I &II- HLA antibodies.

  • This test will further help to identify donor specific antibodies, if against class I OR II which can harm the transplant organ

  • Can be used to monitor the class I & II HLA antibodies in serum post organ transplant to modulate immunosuppression and diagnose rejections
